Hi, I’m Coach Laura. I am a pelvic floor physical therapist, graduating from Chatham University. I have years of experience treating pelvic health conditions, specializing in chronic pelvic pain. I’ve always loved treating the whole person and felt limited with classic physical therapy models. This led me to expand my knowledge into the most up to date evidence on pain science, including a course where I was honored to meet Charlie Merrill and Dr Howard Schubiner. I find great passion in empowering patients on their road to recovery. It is an amazing opportunity to be a teammate, coach, cheerleader, friend, and expert to someone on their journey. When I am not working, I spend my time in the sunshine often surrounded by family. I also take every opportunity I can get to travel and experience the world.

My coaching style
I am optimistic and supportive. At times I use my physical therapy hat - Most of my expertise is in pelvic populations, so I have the ability to explain medical/ anatomical/ physiological within reason for these populations.

My Personal Story
I spent many years working as a pelvic floor physical therapist searching for the missing link to my patient's pain stories. Meeting them with compassion and empathy, and yet feeling unable to best guide them on their journey. That all changed when I was introduced to a brain first approach to pain and pain reprocessing therapy. The integration of the mind and the body is beautiful, chaotic, unique, and so interconnected I wonder how I could have considered them separate from each other for so long.
