Lin Health Appoints Dr. Eric Anderson as First Chief Medical Officer to Advance Virtual Chronic Pain Care Nationwide

Nationally recognized virtual neurology pioneer joins Lin Health to help providers and payers deliver evidence-based, whole-person chronic pain recovery at scale

Lin Health, the leader in guideline-driven whole-person care for chronic pain recovery, today announced the appointment of Eric R. Anderson, MD, PhD, MBA, FAAN as the company’s first Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Anderson joins Lin Health to help accelerate the company’s clinical strategy and expand access to evidence-based chronic pain recovery at scale, advancing Lin’s mission to reclaim lives from persistent pain and discomfort.

A neurologist by training and a healthcare systems builder by necessity, Dr. Anderson has spent his career reimagining care models that are fragmented, inaccessible, and misaligned with patient outcomes. He is a nationally recognized pioneer in virtual neurology, beginning with early research demonstrating that smartphone-based stroke assessments could match traditional in-hospital evaluations. Dr. Anderson has since led the design and expansion of large, multi-state virtual care platforms, proving that expert, multidisciplinary care can be delivered effectively, equitably, and at scale – without forcing patients to navigate unnecessary friction.

“When access to high-quality care depends on geography, mobility, or endurance, incremental fixes are not enough,” said Dr. Anderson. “Lin Health is building a clinically rigorous model that meets patients where they are, addresses the precipitating and perpetuating factors underpinning chronic pain, and delivers outcomes at scale. I’m honored to join the team at this pivotal moment and help expand a new standard of care for millions of people.”

At Lin Health, Dr. Anderson will focus on advancing evidence-based whole-person care that moves beyond symptom management to address the underlying behavioral, psychological, social, and contextual drivers of chronic pain. Together with Dr. Anderson, Lin Health aims to replace reactive, episodic care with scalable longitudinal models that deliver measurable outcomes, in partnership with clinically integrated health systems, payers, and clinics.

“Dr. Anderson is one of the most accomplished clinical innovators in virtual specialty care and we are thrilled to welcome him as Lin Health’s first Chief Medical Officer,” said Lin Health CEO and Co-Founder Yehuda Kogan. “His track record of building enterprise-grade, multidisciplinary care models – and his conviction that virtual care can be a better operating system for complex care – align perfectly with Lin’s commitment to measurable outcomes and radically better access for patients living with chronic pain.”

Most recently, Dr. Anderson served as Chief Medical Officer at Synapticure, where he built a 50-state, multidisciplinary virtual neurology model delivering comprehensive care for neurodegenerative disease, achieving industry-leading patient satisfaction. Earlier in his career, he developed and managed the nation’s largest teleneurology practice group, supporting more than 300 hospitals and delivering thousands of specialty consults per month. He has also served in leadership roles with the American Academy of Neurology, including as Chair of the Telemedicine Workgroup, and has been widely published and invited to speak nationally on telemedicine, mobile health, and technology-enabled care delivery.
