Parenting Through Chronic Pain

If you’ve ever wondered, “How the heck am I supposed to parent with chronic pain?” this live session is for you. This conversation will shine a light on what modern pain psychology has to say in response and will address your most pressing questions about the struggles of parenting through chronic pain.

Parenting Through Chronic Pain

Sept 14, 10-11 am PST | 1-2 pm EST

Parenting Through Chronic Pain

What to expect:

Join Abigail Hirsch, Pain Psychologist (mother of four), and co-host Charlie Merrill, MSPT and Lin Clinical Advisor Pain Recovery Coach (and father of three) for a down-to-earth conversation loaded with practical wisdom about new ways to navigate the challenges of parenting through chronic pain. If you’re a parent living with persistent pain - this is for you.

Things we’ll cover:

  1. Is it better for me to pretend I’m not hurting in front of my kids or just keep it real with them?
  2. There are times when my whole body hurts when my two-year-old gently rests his head on my shoulder. I can’t shake the shame I feel about not being able to parent my kid the way I want to. It’s hard to know what to do next.
  3. I’ve been told that I should outsource more and bring in more help to the house. Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin.
